Our History
During our careers, we have interacted with numerous organizations including nonprofits, businesses, and other organizations. Many of them needed that little extra push to get them to the next level of advocacy, productivity or otherwise enhancing their presence. When the global pandemic struck, it rearranged how those same organizations were trying to grow. It scrambled their relationships with the government, other organizations, and the variety of stakeholders with whom they regularly interact.
We created Policy Navigators to provide the best guidance for organizations by drawing upon our decades of experience in the nonprofit, government, and business sectors and combining it with our hands-on experience with the evolving landscape. We provide the support that our clients need to succeed and do so in a way that reduces disruptions and lets leaders lead.
Teresa Milio Birge
Teresa’s experience in the business, association, education, and government sectors over the past 25 years provides Policy Navigators’ clients with the expertise needed to focus their time and attention on legislation, regulations, and policy issues that have potential impact. She understands the intricacies of state and local legislative and budget processes, and can support the client’s engagement in these arenas. Teresa is also an experienced association manager, with the ability to lead policy and advocacy campaigns, conduct research and provide reports on policy and management issues, provide project management support, and help organizations create structures and processes that allow them to achieve their organizational and policy goals. Her unparalleled experience and expertise enables her to support her clients in their policy efforts, enabling them to spend time and focus on engaging with decision-makers, as well as allowing them time to focus on their own organization’s core activities.
Ben Birge
Ben’s thirty years of experience as an analyst advocate, project manager, and local government official enables Policy Navigators to offer our clients a variety of policy and management-related services. He has led and collaborated on advocacy efforts at the local state and federal levels through the engagement of elected officials their staff and other stakeholders. Ben is an expert in both state and local budgeting directed agencies and a nonprofit, and understands the complexities of managing a large organization. He handles project management, organizational consisting organizational budget review and analysis economic and industry forecasting and research data visualization and analysis, and strategic organizational planning.
